Dr. Malik is a native of Northwest Houston, who graduated Cum Laude from Westfield High School and went on to receive a full scholarship to the University of Houston to pursue a degree in Biochemistry. After only two years of exemplary academic achievement, she was accepted to medical school at the young age of 20.
Dr. Malik has achieved many scholarly activities. She has been invited to present her research at multiple prestigious meetings; including the City of Hope Cancer Forum, Texas Society of Medical Oncology Annual Meeting, and at Annual International meeting of the American Society of Hematology. Her special interests are in the treatment of colon, breast and blood cancers.
Dr. Malik’s scholarly activities and clinical experience have prepared her to join the Northwest Cancer Center. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Malik is honored and excited to serve her hometown of northwest Houston where she grew up. Her patients often describe her as being “comforting,” and is known to build strong relationships with her patients and families. She enjoys canoeing, biking, traveling, and most of all spending time with her son Adam.
